About The Club
East Dorset Open Water Swimming Club was formed to promote and encourage interest and participation in open water swimming in East Dorset.
Members have a range of experience, from beginners to English Channel relay and soloists.
While many of our swimmers are local our membership is drawn from across the South including Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and further afield.
We meet from April to October. We meet at 6pm on Tuesday evenings and 10am on Sunday mornings.
As well as normal club meetings we organise a 10km swim in Poole Bay, Swim & Trek days in the Purbecks and hold social events throughout the year.
The Club also organises the Seahorse Swim at Knoll Beach and represented by swimmers in various events all year round.
Who Runs The Club?
The club is run on a voluntary basis by its members and is organised by the committee.
